Ways to Explore Majors and Careers

Our office helps CLA students choose majors and career paths. We offer many services and resources to help you do that—online tools, classes, appointments with career counselors, educational materials, and more.

How to Find the Right Major for You:

Are you having a tough time choosing a major? You're not alone! Many students struggle with this, but there are lots of ways to explore majors and pick one that's right for you:

What Can I Do With a Major in... Binders, in Resource Room

Browse our What Can I Do With a Major in...? section. It covers every CLA major (more than 60!) and careers you could pursue with that major.
Take a personality or interest assessment. You'll take these online, then meet with a career counselor to see your results. These help you figure out which majors or career options fit your interests and personality.
Take our class called Major and Career Exploration (ID 1201). In this 2-credit class, a teacher will help you do in-depth exploration of majors and career options.
Stop by our Resource Room to browse information about every CLA major, and related career paths. Read on your own, or get help from a friendly Peer Advisor.
