Recommendation Letter Service
(New Interfolio System!)
When you apply to graduate schools, recommendation letters are an important part of the process. The CLA career office can make that process easier for you through an online service called Interfolio, which helps you manage and send your recommendation letters.
We partnered with Interfolio because it's a well-tested system that's popular with many schools.
WE LAUNCHED INTERFOLIO IN JANUARY 2010: All new Rec Files will be set up through Interfolio. If you've already set up a paper Recommendation File through our office, you have two options: 1) You can transition to Interfolio's online system. OR 2) You can keep your paper Rec File with us. How to Begin With Interfolio
Sign up on Interfolio's My Credentials Vault service page. There you'll find details about cost and what all the Interfolio service offers. If you have questions, use Interfolio's contact information.
Who Can Use Interfolio?
It's open to ALL undergraduate students at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. (Please note that we are the CLA career office, so our other services are for CLA students specifically.)
If you're applying to law schools, we don't recommend Interfolio for you. Law school application materials are handled through LSAC. For information about applying to law schools, see our pre-law section.
